Monica Winther's work takes form as site-specific installations which are constructed out of an abundance
of text, sound, video, and light. These constructions work as stages for improvised performative events,
where Winther takes the role as the ruler of her universe.The audience is hereby invited to enter Winther's profound,
imaginary worlds - worlds which seems to have come into being by an unconscious force. Her work can in this way
be interpretend as Winther's subjective reaction to the
structural and social setting of the location where the action takes
place.
